Is your child struggling with a mental, physical, or emotional disorder? Are you looking for a natural solution with very few, if any, side effects? Biofeedback Training is an amazing method that helps strengthen your mind-body connection and reduce symptoms for over 20 common disorders.

What is it?

Simply put, it is a pain-free technique that helps teach clients how to control physical functions associated with their Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). Biofeedback Training sensors monitor bodily functions including breathing, heart rate, sweat, and body temperature, and give the client immediate feedback on their level of stress. Uncomfortable symptoms such as insomnia, headaches, and chronic pain are often dramatically reduced when clients learn how to consciously regulate their ANS functions.

Biofeedback Training can help.

We use this technique to help young adults and adolescents with an array of disorders.

  • Anxiety
  • Asthma
  • Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Depression
  • Migraine headaches
  • Tension headaches
  • Motion Sickness
  • Sleeping difficulties
  • Stress

Is this Hypnosis?

No, it is not hypnosis. The client does not lose consciousness. The goal of biofeedback is to increase the client’s awareness and control over their bodily functions and gain the ability to regulate them in times of stress. This is also not relaxation training, however, one of the side effects is increasing your ability to feel relaxed. You will learn how to slow down and synchronize your breathing rate and heart rate.

What else do I need to know?

Biofeedback is often a fun challenge for clients. Most people respond well to treatments. Many notice improvement in their symptoms after five to six sessions. Parents are welcome to sit in the session and may be able to help reinforce the training at home.

Biofeedback is a great way to take control of your health instead of relying solely on medication. We would love to answer any questions you may have about Biofeedback Training.
